Waterside Partnership launches at community event
The Waterside Partnership, a collective of landowners and businesses who have called Waterside and the Solent their home for generations, was officially launched at a first consultative event.
More than 38 people attended the event which took place at Marchwood Village Hall including key stakeholders from local educational establishments, councils and businesses.
The afternoon provided an opportunity to introduce the Partnership with an overview on how they are working together, drawing on the knowledge and experience of the local authorities and community partners, to support the local communities in the Waterside area.
Representatives from the organisations that make up the Waterside Partnership β ABP Southampton, Solent Freeport, Solent Gateway, Exxon Mobil, Barker-Mill Estates, Fawley Waterside, Hampshire County Council and New Forest District Council were in attendance. Each talked in more detail about their shared vision to bring benefits to everyone in the Waterside area and deliver opportunities that contribute to a better future for everyone.
The event also provided a forum for key local stakeholders to meet, network and discuss with Partnership members. Itβs these collaborations and opportunities for feedback that the Waterside Partnership aim to realise, working together to support local communities. The Waterside Partnership intends to hold a second community event later in the year to update on progress with specific plans and proposals. You can also find The Waterside Partnership on Facebook.
