We are a collective of landowners and businesses who have called Waterside and the Solent our home for generations, drawing on the knowledge and experience of our local authorities and community partners to deliver development that contributes to a better future for everyone.

The collective of businesses and landowners consists of:

This collective has regular and ongoing engagement with Hampshire County Council and New Forest District Council through wider partnership working in relevant areas.

Our aim is to work together to bring benefits to everyone in the Waterside area, both through our current operations and appropriate future development, with new opportunities and better spaces, looking to the future whilst nurturing and enhancing the unique and special environment.

Focusing on the different needs, wants and challenges that come with delivering a better place to live, our aim is to keep stakeholders up to date on our operational activities and community opportunities, as well as future plans and developments. We will do this through regular meetings with key stakeholders, updates on our Facebook page and on the news section of this website.

Our purpose is to help ensure that our community can continue to enjoy and thrive from the beauty, heritage and wealth of our dynamic surroundings.

Community is at the heart of the Waterside Vision. As a collective we are committed to building lasting connections between businesses and the community, establishing a genuine relationship of trust that will benefit all.

Through our understanding of the specific and unique needs of Waterside and the requirements of our local communities, we are committed to building collaborative relationships with local residents, businesses and educational establishments. This is with the purpose of nurturing and realising new opportunities and inspiring future generations to want to live and work in the area.

We are focused on harnessing the potential of Waterside with the aim of creating opportunities and improving outcomes for local communities in the area.

We propose to offer support through fostering partnerships with universities, colleges and schools to improve access to higher education and specific training support. This will be in parallel with plans to implement local employment priority agreements and create new jobs (while at the same time protecting existing employers and employees). There will also be a focus on creating supply chain benefits for existing local businesses to create prosperity across the Waterside region.

Through sustainable development, some of the collective will aim to deliver a wide range of homes in appropriate locations across the Waterside, with associated community infrastructure.

We recognise the importance of respecting, protecting, and enhancing the Waterside area and its natural environment to ensure a lasting legacy. We hope to work closely with the New Forest National Park Authority and a range of local stakeholders, connecting the forest to sea through green infrastructure, delivered through appropriately located development, ensuring all communities benefit, whilst protecting the unique area and habitat.

We are working towards fostering improved connectivity and ensuring that the Waterside plays its part in the delivery of sustainable, social and green infrastructure.

Through promoting active travel through walking, wheeling and cycling connections, to improving road and rail infrastructure, we are aiming to provide direct and quantifiable benefits for the local community through enhanced physical connectivity along and across the Waterside.

We are also working towards improving digital connections through both 5G and technology as well improving access to and opportunities for education and training.
